The Ultimate Rice Krispie Treats

In primary and secondary school, on Valentine’s Day, some of my classmates would make fresh RKTs and hand them out. I’d open them and finish the entire pack on the spot because (a) I love RKTs and (b) those get stale real quick in Singapore’s humid weather. In Texas, they still taste great after 2-3 days at room temp stored in an airtight container 🎉🥳. Also I don’t like my desserts super sweet and I finally found a recipe that I like so yay!
.
Yield: one 9×13” pan
.

Ingredients

*6 tbsp unsalted butter + a pinch of salt
(use salted butter if you have it)
16oz (454g) bag mini marshmallows (set aside 1 cup)
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
6-7 cups Rice Krispies cereal (1 box)
(I don’t use RKs from a pre-opened box because stale RKs suck)
.

Instructions

Grease a 9×13” pan with butter.

Melt 6 tbsp butter in a sauce pan over medium-low heat and add a pinch of salt if you used unsalted butter. Add 1 tbsp of good quality vanilla extract.
Stir in the mini marshmallows leaving out 1 cup. When all the marshmallows in the saucepan have melted, turn off the heat and stir in the remaining 1 cup. I like to have a mix of melted, partially melted and solid marshmallows for texture. Add in some of the Rice Krispies into the saucepan and coat them with marshmallow butter.

Pour the remaining RKs into the 9×13 pan, then pour the marshmallow butter mixture from saucepan into the baking pan. Mix until combined. Using your hands or a spatula, GENTLY press down. If you stuff them too tight, they’ll lose the fluffiness and airiness that in my opinion, is essential for good RKTs.

Let the RKTs rest covered for 1 hour at room temperature. Cut and serve!

Feminized Cannabis Seeds Explained: What Growers Need to Know

What are feminized cannabis seeds, how do they work, and why are they so popular among cannabis growers?

In this educational cannabis cultivation video, we break down the science behind feminized cannabis seeds, how they are created, and why they have become such an important part of modern cannabis growing. You’ll learn what feminized seeds are, why growers prefer female cannabis plants, and how feminized genetics help reduce the risk of wasting space, time, soil, water, and nutrients on male plants.

We also explain how feminized seeds are produced by encouraging a female cannabis plant to create pollen, which can then be used to fertilize another female plant. This process helps create seeds that are much more likely to grow into female plants, making feminized seeds useful for growers who want more predictable results, consistent genetics, resin-rich flowers, and better use of their grow space.

In this video, we cover:

• What feminized cannabis seeds are
• Why female cannabis plants matter
• How feminized seeds are created
• Why male cannabis plants can cause seeded flower
• How feminized seeds help growers save space and resources
• The difference between feminized seeds and autoflower seeds
• Photoperiod cannabis seeds vs autoflowering cannabis seeds
• Light cycles, growth time, size, yield, and ease of growing
• Why genetics, plant stress, and breeding stability still matter

We also clear up one of the most common points of confusion: feminized seeds and autoflower seeds are not always opposites. Feminized refers to the plant’s sex, while autoflowering refers to how the plant enters the flowering stage. Many cannabis seeds sold today can be both feminized and autoflowering.

Whether you’re a beginner grower, a home cultivation enthusiast, or simply interested in cannabis plant science, this video will help you better understand cannabis seed types, female cannabis plants, cannabis genetics, photoperiod plants, autoflowering plants, and how growers choose the right seeds for their goals.

This video is for educational purposes only and is intended to explain cannabis biology, plant breeding, and cultivation science.

How to Grow Bigger Buds | Without Falling for the Myths

“Use a bloom booster.”
“Add more phosphorus.”
“Buy better nutrients.”
The truth?
By the time most people start looking for ways to make their buds bigger, much of the answer has already been decided.
In this video, Kate breaks down what actually determines bud size – from genetics and vegetative growth to lighting, canopy management, pruning, root health, and environmental conditions. We also bust some of the biggest cannabis growing myths and explain why chasing miracle products usually leads to disappointment.
In this video, you’ll learn:
– Why bloom boosters aren’t the secret to bigger buds
– How genetics determine your plant’s true potential
– Why the vegetative stage has a huge impact on your final harvest
– How light powers bud development – and why more isn’t always better
– Why experienced growers train their plants instead of letting them grow naturally
– When removing leaves can improve your harvest – and when it can hurt it
– Why overfeeding often leads to smaller buds instead of bigger ones
– How temperature, humidity, and airflow quietly affect your yields
– Why there is no magical “last-week” trick that suddenly makes buds explode in size
Whether you’re growing indoors or outdoors, understanding how cannabis builds flowers will help you grow healthier plants, denser buds, and more consistent harvests.
If you’re tired of cannabis growing myths and want to understand what actually makes buds bigger, this video is for you.

Starting Hydro, How to Germinate and Start Cannabis & Weed Seeds with Rockwool Cubes

#rockwool #germination #cannabiscommunity

Rockwool cubes are one of the best ways to start your seeds if you are planning on using hydro as your method of growing. We teach you the best technique on starting your seeds in this medium. Starting and growing cannabis or weed seeds in rockwool cubes is easy if you follow the steps in this tutorial.We’ll show you the best way to start seeds in rockwool cubes, how to prepare rockwool cubes by presoaking them and ph balancing and when to transplant rockwool seedlings.

Rockwool Cubes: https://amzn.to/3heMWIJ
Seed Starter Tray: https://amzn.to/3AeU4LI
Hydrogen Peroxide: Get it at the dollar store, but if you cant, https://amzn.to/3g82VI6
ph Up & Down: https://amzn.to/3uBgKlU
TDS/EC/pH Meter: https://amzn.to/3hfOuCc
Continuous Spray Mist Bottle: https://amzn.to/3X4NAbO
Optional Seed Mat Station: https://amzn.to/3tsyBLi

Starting marijuana seeds in rockwool cubes is an easy and effective way to encourage rooting because they are sterile and they have a material that can retain water yet still allow significant amounts of oxygen to the roots. Rockwool is a reliable growing medium for cannabis seeds, especially if you plan on growing the plants in hydroponics.

Here are the basic steps for germinating seeds in rockwool:

Soak rockwool cubes in one pint of water that is pH’d down to 5.8-6.2
Remove from water and squeeze gently to release excess water. Make sure you spread the rockwool cube back out so the cube does not remain compressed.
Add marijuana seed to the hole, butthole up only about a cm from the top and plug the hole with a corner.
Place into a humidity dome in a warm room with 24 hour lighting and low light. 85 degrees works best.

Cannabis Rescheduling Enters New Phase Next Week | TDR Cannabis in 5

TDR Cannabis in Five with host Shadd Dales breaks down a major moment in the federal cannabis rescheduling process. Monday, August 17 is the filing‑brief deadline in the Administrative Law Judge hearing — the final step before the ALJ begins drafting his Recommended Decision. Testimony is complete, evidence is closed, and once these briefs are submitted, the process shifts from public hearings to internal decision‑making.

But another storyline is unfolding at the exact same time: TerrAscend (TSX: TSND) and its 280E tax case with the Department of Justice. The timing of DOJ’s actions is raising industry questions because it aligns almost perfectly with the rescheduling calendar. TerrAscend was served on August 3 — more than two months after the case was filed — and just two weeks before the ALJ’s August 17 deadline. In federal practice, service timing is rarely accidental, and many observers believe this may signal strategic positioning.

TerrAscend’s response is due August 24. DOJ’s reply is expected in early or late September. Meanwhile, the ALJ’s recommendation could land around that same period. If the exceptions window is shortened, the DEA’s fixed 30‑day Final Order period could begin in September, placing a potential rescheduling decision in October. Nothing is guaranteed, but the alignment is notable.

If cannabis moves to Schedule III, 280E disappears — making TerrAscend’s tax case irrelevant. That’s why the timing matters. Monday isn’t the decision; Monday is the trigger. It’s when the countdown toward the DEA’s final ruling quietly begins.

Why Isn’t Medical Cannabis More Widely Available In The UK? | This Morning

Although medical cannabis became legal in November 2018, almost no NHS prescriptions have been handed out due to strict, yet confusing guidelines. Matt Hughes, whose son Charlie suffers from a rare form of epilepsy, is going to the high court to mount the first legal challenge against the guidelines, in the hopes of providing his son – and other patients – with the life-changing treatment they so desperately need. We’re also joined by Hannah Deacon, whose son Alfie was the first epileptic child to receive the prescription after the law changed, as well as neurologist Dr Mike Barnes to explain more about the effectiveness of medicinal cannabis.

• Could eliminate harsh tax burdens on cannabis businesses
• Signals a major shift in federal policy

Cannabis: Medical vs Street Cannabis: What’s Safe, What Isn’t?

Could cannabis actually work as medicine, or is it just hype?

In this video, I speak with a fellow doctor who prescribes medicinal cannabis privately. Together, we look at the real science, potential benefits, and very real risks of using cannabis products for medical conditions.

This builds on my recent video, “Is THC Dangerous?”, which sparked some strong opinions in the comments, especially from recreational users and those curious about using cannabis for pain, anxiety, depression or chronic illness.

In this video, we cover:
• How cannabis is prescribed as medicine
• Which conditions it may help; like chronic pain, anxiety, and MS
• The difference between medical and street cannabis
• Risks and side effects that are often overlooked
• Who definitely shouldn’t be using cannabis products
• What the evidence actually says so far

Whether you’re in the UK, or elsewhere, this video is for anyone wondering: Could cannabis really help? Or is it more harmful than we think?

FBI Confrontation My Unforgettable Parking Lot Encounter

FBI Confrontation: My Unforgettable Parking Lot Encounter

Don’t forget to like/follow/subscribe to the page!

Stationed in a lot just a short distance from the FBO, we thought we were in the clear, but the feds were already deep into their surveillance. A full task force was embedded in that parking area, watching every move within the burgeoning weed empire. As I stepped away from the Bronco, the reality of the cannabis industry’s high stakes hit home; the lead FBI agent from the Tampa office approached with professional poise. In a moment that feels like a scene from vintage true crime, they asked for Steven Kalish, unaware they were confronting a drug kingpin central to the most legendary smuggling stories of the era.

That parking lot encounter forced a pivot, shifting the strategy from silent transit to active evasion. The feds were relentless, their eyes scanning for the massive weed money flow that fueled our marijuana trafficking operations. It was a stark reminder that in the cannabis industry, the line between being a legitimate entrepreneur and a drug kingpin was paper-thin. Every choice we made, from the logistics of moving tons of product to the quiet, clandestine meetings, was dictated by the ever-present threat of a weed empire collapse.
Reflecting on that day, it’s clear that we were playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse that defined the vintage era of cannabis smuggling. Long before cannabis legalization reshaped marijuana laws and introduced the world to medical marijuana and recreational cannabis, we were the ones defining the risks. For Bruce Perlowin and the team, it wasn’t just about the THC and CBD; it was about surviving a system designed to crush the cannabis culture that we helped build. That moment in the parking lot wasn’t just a close call; it was a defining chapter in our ongoing fight against cannabis addiction stigma and the archaic policies of a bygone age.

With the recent decriminalization and subsequent rise of Marijuana use around North America – researchers are finally beginning to discover some of the lesser known effects that Marijuana might have on human bodies. Many users of Marijuana are young people, and it has been estimated that approximately 50% of females who are Marijuana users continue their use during pregnancy (MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health, 2017).

This brings us to our question for today: What Effect Does Cannabis Use Have During Pregnancy?

How THC tests have landed new mothers onto child abuse registries

In more than 40 states, marijuana is now a legal method of relieving pain. But in Idaho, more than a thousand new mothers have ended up on a child abuse registry after testing positive for THC – a chemical found in marijuana – following childbirth. In other states, women have even been sent to jail. The findings of a joint investigation by “CBS Sunday Morning” and the Marshall Project raise hard questions about who gets punished, and who doesn’t. Erin Moriarty reports. The CBD Bill Nobody Is Talking About: What You Need to Know

A BILL
To amend the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 to clarify the definition of hemp,
protect full-spectrum CBD products, and exclude intoxicating and synthetic hemp-derived products.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Full-Spectrum CBD and Hemp Clarification Act of 2026”.
SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO DEFINITION OF HEMP.
Section 297A of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (7 U.S.C. 1639o) is amended by striking paragraph (1) and
inserting the following:
“(1) HEMP.—
(A) IN GENERAL.— The term ‘hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the
seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or
not, with a total tetrahydrocannabinols concentration (including tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) of not more than 1.0
percent on a dry weight basis.
(B) INCLUSION.— Such term includes industrial hemp.
(C) EXCLUSIONS.— Such term does not include—
(i) any viable seeds from a Cannabis sativa L. plant that exceeds a total tetrahydrocannabinols concentration
(including tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) of 1.0 percent on a dry weight basis;
(ii) any intermediate hemp-derived cannabinoid products that contain—
(I) cannabinoids that are not capable of being naturally produced by a Cannabis sativa L. plant; or
(II) cannabinoids that are capable of being naturally produced by a Cannabis sativa L. plant but were
synthesized or manufactured outside the plant;
except that intermediate materials held by a licensed or registered processor solely for further manufacturing into a
compliant final product, and not marketed or sold to end consumers, shall not lose hemp status solely because they
exceed potency thresholds during processing;
(iii) any intermediate products that are marketed or sold as final products or directly to end consumers;
(iv) any final hemp-derived cannabinoid product that is not a full-spectrum CBD product (as defined in
subparagraph (D)) and that contains greater than 2.0 milligrams combined total per container of total
tetrahydrocannabinols (including tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) and any other cannabinoids that have similar effects
(or are marketed to have similar effects) as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services; or
(v) any final hemp-derived cannabinoid product that contains cannabinoids that are not capable of being naturally
produced by a Cannabis sativa L. plant or that were synthesized or manufactured outside the plant.
(D) FULL-SPECTRUM CBD PRODUCT.— The term ‘full-spectrum CBD product’ means a final hemp-derived
cannabinoid product that—
(i) contains multiple naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes from the Cannabis sativa L. plant;
(ii) contains not more than 3 milligrams of total tetrahydrocannabinols (including tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) per
serving;
(iii) contains cannabidiol in an amount that is at least 15 times greater than the total tetrahydrocannabinols content;
(iv) is intended solely for oral or topical administration;
(v) contains no cannabinoids that are not capable of being naturally produced by a Cannabis sativa L. plant and no
cannabinoids that were synthesized or manufactured outside the plant; and
(vi) is not marketed or labeled as producing intoxication, euphoria, or effects comparable to marijuana.
(E) CONTAINER.— For purposes of this paragraph, the term ‘container’ means the innermost wrapping, packaging,
or vessel that is in direct contact with a final hemp-derived cannabinoid product and that is intended for retail sale to the
end consumer.”.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Act shall take effect upon enactment and shall supersede any conflicting provisions of section 781 of division B of
Public Law 119–37 with respect to the definition of hemp and hemp-derived products.
