In this Seed to Harvest of the ILGM – Sour Diesel Feminized, we cover the strain information (parent genetics), the tips of growing this strain in veg weeks 2-6, and Flower from weeks 1-10 (final harvest day 74 / week 10).
Ultimately we’re testing to see if it makes the list of the best strains to grow in 2021-2022 season.

Created in the 1990s in California, this strain has a lot of legends, but few facts. Fans claim it descends from Super Skunk and Chemdawg 91. What is known is that it is one of the best genetic hybrids on the market today.
Growing Sour Diesel Seeds

These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the Fall or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.

Best Climate For Sour Diesel
Sour Diesel grows best in sunny, warm areas. Growers consider it a difficult strain to cultivate outdoors because it’s prone to powdery mildew. If you want to grow outside you want a dry and hot climate. The less humidity, the better.
If growing indoors, you are going to want to use high-intensity lights in a dry, sterile room. Indoors it’s easy to keep the plant compact and, on average, takes about 10 weeks for flowering. Outdoors these ladies can get big (think Brienne of Tarth big). If you have the right climate, go for it! These big ladies produce massive yields.

Flowering & Yield
When growing indoors, Sour Diesel plants take about 9 to 10 weeks of flowering before you can cut your plants. Under the right circumstances, you can yield around 16 ounces in a 3x3ft area.
If growing outdoors, expect to harvest sometime November at the latest. Sour Diesel performs very well outdoors, and with enough sunlight and proper feeding, you can have a monster bush on your hands.
