-Ā½ part compost or worm castings
-Ā½ part finely screened garden soil (optional)

Airflow:
šŸ’Ø A small fan near your seedlings helps prevent mold and disease.šŸ’Ø It also strengthens plants by mimicking outdoor wind, preparing them for transplanting.

Temperature:
šŸŒ” Most seedlings thrive at 65-75Ā°F.šŸŒ” Heat mats help maintain the ideal soil temperature, but if you donā€™t have one, try placing trays near a heating vent or radiator.

Light:
šŸ’” Seedlings need 12-16 hours of light per dayā€”donā€™t forget to turn them off at night!šŸ’” Keep grow lights 2-4 inches above the seedlings to prevent legginess.šŸ’” I aim for 5,000 lumens per light

In the latest TDR Cannabis in Five, host Shadd Dales breaks down what happens now that the DEAā€™s Administrative Law Judge hearing on cannabis rescheduling has officially wrapped.

The testimony is complete, the record is closed, and the next key date is August 17. That is when final briefs are due and the record is formally served. It is not the date Judge Derek C. Julius issues his Recommended Decision, and that distinction matters when trying to understand the real timeline.

Shadd walks through each step that follows: the ALJ drafting period, the mandatory 25-day waiting period after the recommendation is served, and the DEAā€™s publication window before a Final Rule can be issued.

The episode also looks back at the hearing record itself. The government stayed focused on the statutory and scientific case for Schedule III, while several opposition witnesses spent time on workplace testing, personal stories and broader policy issues that were outside the central scheduling question.
