Hemp’s Existential Crisis: The Secret Deadline You Didn’t Know About

In this eye-opening video, Tom from Cannabis Industry Lawyer discusses the hidden death sentence in the recent farm bill that drastically changes the hemp industry’s landscape. With the new law setting a 0.4 milligram total THC cap per container and banning synthesized cannabinoids, hemp businesses face an existential threat well before the November 2026 effective date.

The hemp industry is facing a critical juncture with a looming deadline that could potentially kill hemp profits. As the hemp business continues to grow, cannabis compliance is becoming increasingly important to avoid any potential setbacks. The recent FinCEN guidance has sent shockwaves through the hemp industry, with many fearing a possible hemp ban in 2025. This could have severe consequences, including making CBD illegal in 2025, which would be a devastating blow to the industry. Congress is set to make a decision on the hemp ban, and it is crucial for hemp businesses to be aware of the implications and take necessary steps to ensure compliance. In this video, we will discuss the secret deadline that will kill hemp profits and what hemp businesses can do to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in the face of uncertainty. With the hemp industry at a crossroads, it is essential to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest developments, including the potential hemp ban and its impact on the industry. By understanding the importance of cannabis compliance and the potential consequences of non-compliance, hemp businesses can take proactive steps to protect their interests and ensure a prosperous future.

The Most Ridiculous Cannabis Law in California

#shorts #legalization #cannabiseducation #cannabislaw #recheduling #cannabisdispensary #cannabisdaily
This video explains how a 15% excise tax on cannabis in some areas is used by the government, with some of that money funding police raids on dispensaries. It highlights the irony that businesses are subject to taxation and then targeted with raids funded by their own tax payments. This intersection of cannabis and government revenue raises questions about US politics.

Hemp-derived THC market faces massive disruption with new law

The sweeping government funding bill signed by President Trump on Wednesday includes a provision that could dramatically reshape the hemp industry and the local businesses that rely on it.

The measure closes the so-called “hemp loophole” created by the 2018 Farm Bill, which allowed hemp products with less than 0.3% delta THC to be sold legally.

That loophole gave rise to a booming market for intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoids, like delta-8 THC, THCA, and others.

The new law bans any cannabinoids not naturally produced by the plant, including synthetic or chemically converted cannabinoids.

Gas stations, convenience stores, and small businesses have been major players in the hemp-derived THC market, often selling gummies, vape cartridges, and other products that skirted marijuana laws.

Industry analysts estimate that hemp-derived THC products represent a $13-$28 billion market nationwide, indicating that the law could wipe out 95% of products currently on the market.

CBD products and industrial hemp uses, such as fiber and grain, remain legal.

Enforcement begins in late 2026, giving businesses about a year to comply.

The law also demands that consumer hemp products must contain no more than 0.4 milligrams of total THC per container, but does not ban state-legal marijuana.

Guide For Taking Your First Weed Edibles – DistroMike

The Golden Rule
When consuming cannabis (weed) edibles, the number one rule to keep in mind is that you can always take more, but you can never take less. It’s common for new users to consume a reasonable dose, and then when they don’t feel the effect, they take more.

It takes much longer for the body to process cannabis in edible form compared to smoking or vaping. When you are inhaling, it’s quite easy to control your dosage as the effects of each hit are almost instant. With edibles, it could take 45 minutes to 2 hours for the effects to begin.

If you start consuming more before you begin to process the first dose, you could end up in a situation where you are already more intoxicated than you’d like to be by the time the additional doses even begin to metabolize. Being “too high” from edibles is not usually a fun experience, and it can take hours to begin to feel “normal” again. So, start slow and build up.

How Much To Take?
While cannabinoids have the potential to produce dramatically different effects from person to person, you can generally assume that a brand new user will begin to feel the effects of cannabis edibles in doses as small as 5 or 10 mg. With the Golden Rule in mind, a first time user should try 5 or 10 mg and then wait up to 2 hours before considering consuming more.

Most edibles make it easy to ramp up incrementally, meaning you can add 5 or 10 mg at a time until you reach the desired effect. You can also split your edibles into smaller portions. Additionally, cannabis has the potential to produce a tolerance quickly, and experienced users may consume 100mg or more in a single sitting.

Keep in mind that metabolizing weed through digestion also produces a molecule called 11-OH-THC, so in addition to the Delta 9 THC producing effects, you are also going to feel the effects of 11-OH-THC, which is typically stronger than inhaling traditional cannabis. This means the same amount of THC will get you more “high” simply by digesting it rather than smoking it. Of course, you must ensure you are consuming properly prepared and decarboxylated edibles, as eating cannabis flower on its own will not produce the effects that most consumers are looking for.

What Effects To Expect From Weed Edibles

Weed edibles can provide a variety of positive effects for users. These effects typically arise due to the interaction between THC and the body’s endocannabinoid system. Some of the positive effects of weed edibles include:

Long-Lasting Relief – Edibles provide prolonged relief from symptoms compared to other methods of consumption. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals seeking long-term relief from chronic pain, inflammation, or insomnia.

Potent Relaxation – Many users report a deep sense of relaxation and tranquility after consuming edibles. This can help alleviate stress, anxiety, and tension, promoting a calm and peaceful state of mind.

Enhanced Mood – THC in edibles can uplift mood and induce feelings of happiness and euphoria. This can be especially beneficial for individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression or seasonal affective disorder.

Heightened Sensory Perception – Some users experience heightened sensory perception after consuming edibles, leading to enhanced appreciation of music, art, food, and nature.

Creativity and Focus – For some individuals, weed edibles can enhance creativity and focus, making it easier to engage in artistic pursuits, brainstorming sessions, or problem-solving activities.

Improved Sleep – Edibles may help regulate sleep patterns and promote better quality sleep for individuals struggling with insomnia or other sleep disorders.

Appetite Stimulation – THC is known to stimulate appetite, often referred to as having the “munchies.” This can be beneficial for individuals with medical conditions that cause a lack of appetite or weight loss.

Overall, weed edibles can offer a range of positive effects, making them a popular choice for both recreational and medicinal users. Negative effects like lethargy or nausea can usually be combated by following the Golden Rule.

Medical Cannabis Could Help Solve Opioid Crisis | Op-Ed | NowThis

Medical cannabis could be a silver bullet for treating chronic pain — so why are doctors prescribing opioids?
» Subscribe to NowThis: http://go.nowth.is/News_Subscribe

New York Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell thinks it’s time to treat opioid addictions with cannabis.

“Cannabis is now an exit drug, and this solution is a solution that could very well work,” he stated in an interview with NowThis. “Growing up in New York, cannabis was an entry level drug, but now we know very clearly that, in fact, it can be an exit drug.”

O’Donnell believes that cannabis can be used to help people who are suffering from addiction. As a representative of Upper Manhattan, he’s introduced bill 9016 in the New York State Assembly, which would allow the use of medical marijuana to treat opioid addictions.

He explained that weed is already being implemented in different parts of the country to help addicts with treatment. As a public defender for seven years in Brooklyn, he says he witnessed many opioid addictions, which were being treated with methadone. The substance apparently destroyed his clients’ bodies and didn’t help the city’s death tolls from rising. Additionally, he found that, in places where medical marijuana is legally available for people who are opioid addicted, there’s a 25% reduction in hospitalizations from the use of opioids.

“I’m simply saying we need more tools in the toolbox to treat the thousands of and hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who are currently addicted,” he stated.
