This ran on television in 1968 when the leadership did not know what to do with young people using drugs. The student is Fred Salek, a member of the student council at NYU. He was very concerned about not legalizing marijuana causing students to experiment with heroin, LSD, and speed, as more dangerous drugs.

Frederick J. Salek is an American attorney who earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University in 1971 and a law degree from the University of Michigan in 1975. He spent much of his career as a corporate lawyer and executive in major companies. Salek served as Associate General Counsel for Bayer Corporation, where he worked on corporate and commercial legal matters, and later became General Counsel of Agfa Corporation, a global imaging and technology company, from 1989 to 2002. After leaving Agfa, he worked as a legal consultant and mediator, specializing in business disputes and corporate governance. He has also served on dispute review boards in New York, helping resolve conflicts in large construction and commercial projects. Salek’s background combines corporate law, arbitration, and executive management, and he is recognized for his experience in leading legal teams in multinational organizations.

ST. LOUIS — After trying 36 different medications with no relief, Josh Dunifon felt he was out of options. A cabinet once filled with prescriptions now symbolized years of failed treatments for the severe back pain he’d endured following a major truck accident seven years ago.

“I started getting really desperate,” Dunifon told Straight Arrow News. “When the traditional stuff from the pharmacies didn’t work, I had to figure something out.”

**How to dose with 1g wax:

First, identify the %THC or CBD of your wax.

1000mg x % THC or CBD = total mgs
(example: 1000mg X .70 (70% THC) = 700 mgs THC total)

total mgs / number of candies = mgs per candy
(example: 700 mgs / 32 = 21.8 mg per candy)

**How much weed should you use? (bud/flower):

__ mg THC per candy x __ number of candies = total mgs THC needed for recipe
(example: 20 mg per candy x 32 candies = 640 mgs total)

total mgs needed for recipe / % THC or CBD = mgs of weed needed
(example: 640 mgs THC / .20 (20% THC) = 3200 mgs of weed)

mgs of weed / 1000 = grams of weed needed
(example: 3200 mgs / 1000 = 3.2 grams of weed)

Famed boxer Mike Tyson will be at the Capitol Wednesday morning to advocate for the legalization of recreational cannabis.

Tyson, a well-known supporter of marijuana, has previously been vocal on the issue, directly opposing Sen. Scott Martin’s views on the topic.

In a post on X back in July, Tyson said legalizing the drug isn’t just an expanded opportunity for revenue in PA but rather, a safeguard to preventing drug-related crime.

“Saying “no” leaves the door open for cartels and illicit players to fill the gap with zero safety or age protections. Let’s prioritize health and public safety and give Pennsylvanians the freedom to make their own choices.”

When asked Wednesday about his recent discussions with PA lawmakers, Tyson said the conversations have been “delightful.”
