Flowering or Bloom Phase of the Cannabis Growth Cycle

Flowering Stage Length
The flowering stage is the final growth stage of a cannabis plant and is when the buds are produced and maturing.
This is typically in the weeks 8-11 of the growth cycle.
Most strains flower in 8-9 weeks of the growth phase.

Some can take even longer (Ex. Sativa dominate strains)

Overall Progression
Flowering Stage Outdoor and Indoor
Outdoor plants will initiate flowering naturally when the plant receives 12 hours of light or less each day which occurs as summer transitions into fall.
Indoor growers can trigger the flowering cycle by reducing the photoperiod to 12 hours a day.

Flowering Subphases
Flower initiation (week 1-3)
The plants continue to grow in physical size
Pre-Female flowers produce pistils (white hairs)
Mid-flowering (week 4-5)
The plant vegetatively will stop growing
Plant focuses more on bud development
Late flowering/ripening (week 6 and on)
Trichome density will increase
Color of the pistils will change

Grower Tips During Flowering Phase
Do not prune plants
Plants should be trellised to support heavy buds
Growers will typically feed bloom plants that have high concentrations of phosphorus, but consider the substrate and be careful how much is added to avoid negative environmental impacts.

End of the Flowering Phase
Flower buds will visually develop quickly toward the end of the flowering cycle.

Week 8 of how to grow marijuana plants that will yield a pound or more. 6000 watt bloom room with supplemental lighting and UVA/UVB lighting.

I ran 12 plants and was averaging around a pound per plant at this location.

This is a hybrid scrog set up I run. I was using 20 gallon pots and mostly ocean forest soil with some coco and perlite tossed in to help with drainage.

I ran a drain to waste set up. I only run 1000 watt Hortilux Super Blue Dual Arc bulbs.

I ran the CANNA hydro nutrient line up and was averaging about a pound per plant. Due to plant count constraints this grow set up was my best option.

Marijuana Grow Challenge Day 58 HYDROSOIL

I skipped a few weeks of videos so we could jump right into the last 2 weeks of this amazing marijuana grow challenge.

The colas are insanely huge and the plants produced more than expected which is why I decided early on to scrap the smaller room and 1000w set up in favor of my bigger room and 2000 w instead.

I ended up with 8 plants under 2000w in 10 gallon smart pots. I used my HYDROSOIL mix of 1 part coco 1 part growstone and 1 part ocean forest. They were fed House and Garden nutrients through bloom cycle and CYCO nutrients in veg.

HYDROSOIL- The New Way To Grow Medical Marijuana Cannabis

What if you could have the benefits of hydroponics ( fast growth, large yields, large healthy plants) with the taste and quality that soil growing offers?
NOW YOU CAN…..

HYDROSOIL Super Soil Mix:
1 part coco
1 part perlite or growstone
1 part ocean forest
sprinkle powdered root inoculate (VAM is cheapest)

Mix together very thoroughly
Mix 1tsp Cal/mag per gallon water PH 6.0
Add enough water so that when mixed it clumps up
After plant has been put into HYDROSOIL water super heavy with Grow or Bloom nutrient Line up
Continue to water daily if needed to keep soil supersaturated never let drop below 50% moisture content if at all possible.

I guarantee once you have tried this on just one plant you will never use another soil mix again.

If you grow in hydro keep doing the same thing your doing except in HYDROSOIL, If you grow in soil keep doing the same thing except in HYDROSOIL.

Benefits:
-Nearly impossible to over water as long as water can drain off or in large saucer then drained.
-No transplant shock
-No transplanting at all
-Insane fast growth
-Super healthy plants with a high BRIX
-Use any nutrient line up synthetic, organic, hydro, soil
-Best possible flavor
-Massive yields
-Inexpensive
– No root binding or root lock up

The single limiting factor to huge plants and huge crops is not lighting or nutrients it is how much water your plants can uptake. The more water the more nutrients the bigger the plants the more the yield.

HYDROSOIL is a technique that perfectly marries hydroponics and soil together without all the headaches and equipment needed when growing in hydroponics.

How to grow marijuana seeds with 100% success rate. Day #1

I have tried many other seed methods such as the paper towel method and too many things can go wrong especially if it’s your first time.

This is a fool proof way to pop seeds and be sure they will grow after the marijuana seed has “cracked.”

If the marijuana seeds splits open like a clam shell it will grow into a seedling, if not I still plant them and have had about a 50% success rate.

The seed strains we are popping are Northern lights x big bud, skunk #11, LSD, white lavender and northern flame.
