The court fight over marijuana rescheduling has a proposed briefing calendar — and the requested final-brief date is February 19, 2027. Meanwhile DEA’s public registration page lists Form 225 for medical marijuana manufacturers, distributors and analytical labs. Filing an application is not approval.

Recorded October 11, 2026, with Thomas Howard and Miggy. Primary documents are linked below.

📅 THE LEAD: On October 9, DOJ and eleven challengers filed a joint proposed briefing schedule in SAM, Inc. v. DOJ (D.C. Cir. No. 26-1106) over the April order that moved state-licensed medical marijuana and FDA-approved products to Schedule III. It’s a proposal — court adoption has not been independently verified, and the filing says argument was not yet scheduled. Separately, DEA’s hearing on broader rescheduling is still stayed; the government’s response is due October 13.
