This fourth episode of how to grow cannabis outdoors is all about germination. Follow Swami as he goes into all the details of how to germinate cannabis seeds. The preferred method here is to soak the seeds overnight in a warm, safe, and dark environment.

If they’re ready after 24-48 hours, you’ll see them cracked and presenting a taproot. Your next step will be to gently transplant them by burying them root down in about a ½ inch of soil. Many growers prefer to transplant them into 1-quart sprouting pots and keep them indoors.

Swami prefers to get them outside and into full sun as soon as possible. Before long, you’ll see the very first two leaves. Light watering with a mister is recommended to not overdo it. Before long, you’ll see additional leaves and soon after that, nodes will begin to form as your plants expand.

Around the 10-day mark would be a good time to add a bit of extra organic fertilizer, like chicken manure, and watch your plant shoot out. You’ll soon be in the vegetative stage, which marks the end of this video.

In 2024, Nebraskans voted overwhelmingly to legalize medical cannabis. Years of failed attempts finally culminated in success, but the story didn’t end there.
Lawsuits, accusations and resignations have kept the drug out of patients’ hands. The potential for setbacks remains high, and even then it will be months before the first dose gets prescribed.
Nebraska sits between two states with recreational and medical cannabis, and some lawmakers fear the drug will do more harm than good. Pressure from the state’s highest offices has kept the drug at bay, for now.
But times are changing, and the people resoundingly said they were ready for the legalization of medical cannabis.
In ‘The Will of the People,’ 10/11 tells the story of medical cannabis in Nebraska. The fight for legalization, the apprehension behind it, and the people in need of relief.
We also explore medical cannabis through the eyes of a Nebraska pharmacologist and a Colorado economist. We’ll take viewers to Rockport, Missouri, where you can buy legal marijuana just a few minutes from Nebraska’s border.
Viewers will also meet one Nebraska child suffering from extreme epilepsy, Teddy Bronson. Fighting epilepsy with legal cannabinoids and specialized surgery, Teddy’s parents hope to use medical cannabis to buy more time with their son.
And we’ll explain what’s next in implementation as a commission made to regulate the drug drags its heels.

A new peer-reviewed study just confirmed what many in the cannabis industry have long believed — legalizing medical marijuana leads to significant reductions in opioid prescriptions. But if the data is this clear, why are so many states still restricting access to medical cannabis and home cultivation?

TDR Cannabis in Five, presented by Dutchie, breaks down the findings from researchers at the University of Southern California and Cornell University, who analyzed Medicaid prescription data from 2010 to 2020. They discovered that states with active medical cannabis programs — especially those allowing home-grow — saw the steepest declines in opioid use.
