A new law in Georgia allows for the sale of a wider variety of marijuana products at medical cannabis dispensaries, including marijuana vapes and leaf marijuana for vaporization at home. The law also adds lupus to the list of conditions for which medical marijuana can be prescribed. The CEO of Botanical Sciences Dispensary, which grows marijuana in Georgia, said that the expanded program would allow patients to get relief quickly, and dismissed criticism that it would lead to more addiction and cannabis use disorder. Patients must get authorization from a doctor to purchase medical marijuana.
