Oscoda Township, Mich. — A 46-year-old man has died in a fire at medical marijuana facility.Emergency crews responded to 5003 Cedar Lake Rd just after 1:15 p.m. The former retail property turned medical marijuana facility was up in flames and engulfed in heavy smoke. First responders were able to remove the man from the building but unable to resuscitate him. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.His identity has not been released yet. According to Oscoda Township Police Department, the man was associated with the medical marijuana facility. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.Oscoda Township Fire was assisted the Oscoda Township Police Department, Oscoda Area First Responders, East Tawas Fire Department, Iosco County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Michigan State Police Fire Marshal Division, and Iosco County EMS.
