High-potency marijuana is not the same drug it was 30 years ago.
In this video, I break down the growing evidence linking today’s high-THC cannabis to rising rates of drug-induced psychosis, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder in the United States and Canada. From 4% THC in the 1990s to 30% flower and 90% concentrates today, the potency has skyrocketed — and so have the risks.
We examine data on cannabis-induced psychosis, why nearly half of those affected later develop schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, and why “sobriety and time” may be more effective than high-dose antipsychotics in many cases.
If you think modern cannabis is harmless, this is a conversation you need to hear.
