There are questions about the future of marijuana laws in Indiana after the federal government moved to reclassify the drug.
On Tuesday, Gov. Mike Braun was asked where Indiana stands as that shift at the federal level could open the door to broader changes nationwide.
Braun said any conversation about the possibility of legalizing cannabis in Indiana would involve law enforcement.
The governor referenced the four states surrounding Indiana, all of which have legalized marijuana either for medicinal purposes or for both medical and recreational use.
The reclassification of cannabis at the federal level could now open the door for legislatures in states where marijuana is not legal to now consider a change.
