The bill passed in the Senate Tuesday by a vote of 52-29 to end the 90-year prohibition. The law makes Canada the second country to have a legal marijuana market, behind Uruguay. Canadians will have to wait at least a few months to legally buy marijuana as its 13 provinces will need about eight to 12 weeks to prepare for retail sales.
