The week of 4/20 ended up being a pretty big week for hemp and cannabis policy.

Rand Paul and Amy Klobuchar filed a Senate bill to legalize hemp by allowing states to opt out of a federal prohibition. Congressman Andy Barr introduced a serious amendment to regulate hemp products more thoughtfully at the national level. The executive branch moved marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III. And by the end of the week, President Trump was publicly saying Congress needs to protect full spectrum CBD products.
