DOES CBD REALLY DO ANYTHING? Real Doctor Explains Everything You Need Know About Cannabidiol CBD Oil

DOES CBD REALLY DO ANYTHING? Real Doctor Explains Everything You Need Know About Cannabidiol CBD Oil. Doctor ER Jordan Wagner is back to explain what is CBD, CBD benefits, CBD effects, and how CBD oil impacts your body. Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician explains everything you need to know about CBD oil to CBD gummies and other CBD-infused products. You might have even heard of cbd for dogs to calm down, cbd skin care, cbd for cats, cbd for anxiety, cbd for sleep. All of these CBD products claiming to treat chronic pain, epilepsy (seizures), insomnia, anxiety, cancer, Parkinson’s Disease, and more. But does it work?

CBD stands for cannabidiol. By definition, it is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana/weed). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and causes the sensation of getting “high” that’s often associated with marijuana. However, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive in the peripheral nervous system.

How do you take CBD? CBD products are one of the fastest-growing segments of the health and beauty industry. Medical celebrities DoctorOz and Dr. Sanjay Gupta advocate for CBD, as well as non-medical celebrities such as Joe Rogan and Morgan Freeman. Do you use any CBD-infused products? Let Doctor Wagner know in the comments if you’ve used any CBD products in the past. What was your experience like? Leave any CBD reviews or life hacks below in the comments!

CBD for Beginners (3 of 7)

Hello,

Yesterday we learned to “start low and go slow” when it comes to CBD dosing.

Today we’ll talk about Cannabis vs. hemp oil.

In the world of botany, there are basically two kinds of cannabis: hemp plants and drug plants.

Hemp is cannabis grown for fiber and/or seed oil.

Drug plants include THC-rich (intoxicating) plants and CBD-rich (non-intoxicating) plants.

You may also have heard the THC-rich plants referred to as marijuana or weed, especially if you’re talking about the flower tops of the plant.

The main difference between these two types is the resin content.

Industrial hemp plants are low resin.

By law, they must contain less than 0.3 percent THC.

Drug plants are high resin.

Industrial varieties are usually grown from seed and yield as many as one hundred tall bamboo-like plants per square meter.

They have skimpy foliage and are manufactured into many different products (like paper, cloth, and edible oil).

Drug plants, on the other hand, are usually grown from asexually reproduced clones.

They generally yield one to two bushy plants per square meter.

They’re hand-harvested, dried, trimmed, and cured.

The flowers are then consumed for either their intoxicating or medicinal effects.

In the two-sentence definition of “marijuana” from the 1970 Controlled Substances Act, the word “resin” was mentioned many times.

That’s because it’s all about how much the plant has.

In essence, the Controlled Substance Act asserts that certain parts of the cannabis plant are exempt from the legal definition of marijuana.

It’s the sticky resin (and its derivatives) in the flowers and leaves which were explicitly forbidden.

This should make it clear that hemp seed oil is not the same as CBD-rich oil extracted from the flowers and leaves of the cannabis plant.

Oil pressed from hemp seeds has no CBD, no THC, no cannabinoids to speak of.

It’s great for making varnish, paint, soap, food supplements, and other products, though.

To get CBD, however, you must turn to the flowers and leaves of the plant.

Tomorrow, we’ll look at “pure” CBD and see if it’s better than full-spectrum CBD.

The Real Story of Medical Cannabis: Myths Debunked – Dr. Gill

The Real Story of Medical Cannabis: Myths Debunked – Dr. Gill

CBD Supplements and Cannabis generally are those sorts of topics where there are MANY opinions and surprisingly little fact behind the media articles

I have many patients who use cannabis and over-the-counter CBD products and when I’ve been asked about it, I’ve been relatively dismissive and advised them to avoid these products

HOWEVER – I realised that my negative opinion towards CBD and cannabidiol as an approach to helping patients was based on ignorance, rather than knowledge.

To be very clear, I had a negative opinion of cannabis generally. I knew there was an association with psychosis, but relatively little else… and I realised that I was speaking as a doctor – from a place of medical authority – from a position that I couldn’t honestly say was based on science rather than opinion.

So I set out to change that. In this video, I look at the research present in the BMJ about the effects of cannabis products for patients and found some interesting results – both about benefits and harms. Let me be clear “IS CANNABIS SAFE?” is far from a black-and-white answer.

Hopefully, people will see I’ve approached this topic openly and honestly – these are my findings about cannabis and CBD products
