Canna-Butter-Cosmic PB Chocolate Squares
Ingredients
* Chocolate chips (1½ cups)
* Honey (½ cup)
* Peanut butter (1 cup)
* Canna-butter (¼ cup)
* Crispy rice cereal (3 cups)
Instructions
* In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, Honey, peanut butter, canna-butter.
* Microwave the mixture on high for 30-60 seconds, or until melted and smooth. Stir well.
* Add the crispy rice cereal to the melted mixture and stir until the cereal is fully coated.
* Press the mixture evenly into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
* Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
* Once set, cut into squares and serve.

I think I messed up… but now I know how to make the perfect cannabis edibles at home. First, you’ll need to decarb your cannabis. Simply bake it at 240°F for 40 minutes to activate the THC. Next, infuse it with some butter or oil. Combine your decarbed cannabis with butter or oil and simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours. Strain the mixture to remove plant material, and voilà! You now have cannabis-infused butter or oil ready to use in your favorite recipes. Remember, always start with a small amount to see how it affects you. Happy baking, and stay safe! When former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo faced sexual harassment allegations that threatened to end his career, he made a last-ditch effort to curry favor with the voters: He legalized weed. Maybe he hoped New Yorkers would be too stoned to remember the accusations that he had groped aides or asked female staffers to play strip poker with him.

New York’s progressive legislators had been crafting a recreational marijuana bill since 2018, but the version that passed was rammed through as Cuomo fought for political survival. The bill wasn’t just about legalizing cannabis; it was about righting historic wrongs by prioritizing licenses for people disproportionately impacted by prohibition. But in practice, the legislation has created a bureaucratic disaster that’s failed both business owners and consumers.

Jonathan Elfand spent a decade in prison for growing and selling weed—a conviction that, under New York’s new laws, should have given him priority in obtaining a legal dispensary license. Instead, he found himself stuck in bureaucratic limbo, with state regulators refusing to give him a license.

Unlike other states that simply legalized weed and let businesses flourish, New York took a heavy-handed, social justice–driven approach. Regulators created criteria that would offer priority licenses to women, minorities, veterans, and those from communities that had been “disproportionately impacted” by prohibition.

Even though Elfand had served a decade in prison for weed-related charges, that wasn’t enough to guarantee a license. Instead, bureaucrats picked winners and losers, leaving enterprising business owners like Elfand out in the cold.

Shouldn’t regulators let pretty much anyone open up, and allow customers to decide who they want to patronize?

New York’s law explicitly allowed public consumption, unlike places like Amsterdam, which have designated coffee shops where people can get baked in semi-private. The result? A city where the smell of marijuana permeates the streets, frustrating residents who didn’t sign up for this level of exposure.

New York could have followed Amsterdam’s model: designating semi-private areas for smoking while enforcing no-smoking laws elsewhere. Instead, the state prioritized social justice and government control over decent policymaking.

New York’s marijuana legalization effort was meant to correct past injustices. Instead, it has created a new class of victims: Entrepreneurs denied the opportunity to compete in a free and fair market. The real winners? The black market dealers who never stopped selling in the first place.

“If you want to talk about psychosis, for those who start using marijuana at a young age and who use it on a regular basis, there’s a two and a half times risk of psychosis,” Wiggins said in a past interview. “One study … actually showed a six times risk for those who used it regularly.” He said research also shows young people who use the drug before age 18 are also at increased risk of psychosis, though the dangers don’t stop there.

“If you’re talking about depression and suicide, depression is greatly increased if you start smoking … it as a teenager,” Wiggins said. “And then, if you look at the statistics for depression, up until the age of 30, those who smoked it as a teenager are 37% more likely to be depressed in their young adult years, and even later on in life.” Watch him dive deeper into these issues.

In Florida, some Republican lawmakers are advocating for expanded access to both medical and recreational marijuana.
Following nearly 56% voter approval for recreational use in the last election, two new proposals aim to allow home cultivation for medical marijuana patients and fully legalize recreational use for adults 21 and older.
The proposed House bill would permit adults to purchase up to two ounces of flower and five grams of concentrate while also restructuring the medical marijuana industry to allow more competition. Although these measures are sponsored by GOP lawmakers, it’s uncertain how much support they’ll receive in the legislature.
Meanwhile, efforts are already underway to place recreational marijuana on the ballot for the 2026 election.
