High friends!

during this Grow series We had the opportunity to feature the 6-site Aircube system by GrowAce.

We began our journey growing a total of 4 plants

1. “X Factor OG” by Twenty20 (Autoflower)
2. “X Factor OG” by Twenty20 (Autoflower)
3. “The Grape Beyond” by Recherche Genetics (PhotoPeriod)
4.”Nerds Rope S1″ by elev8 Seeds (photoPeriod)

During this grow series I found out then I can actually grow giant size autoflowers that produce beautiful yields. 😂 If you’re familiar with my channel you already know I’m not a big fan of the autoflower. I am now a believer this system Is the answer to help autos thrive! 👀 This entire grow cycle was basically hands-free The self-watering system made it way too easy!

here are my thoughts:

Pros:
Perfect watering/feeding schedule
No missed waterings
Healthy Root Zone
Nutrient uptake is quicker
easy setup
user friendly
awesome results

Cons:
The reservoir has build up on the inside. (I suggest getting a long handled scrubber.

This made me feel like a lazy grower 😂 but I feel like this should have been a pro instead of a con because it gave me more time to focus on other things.

What I added:
Inside the reservoir I added an air stone to help create more oxygen and keep the water moving in from becoming stagnet.

Soil: Happy Frog
nutrients used: Emerald Harvest “three-part series”

special notes:
Make sure your plant has around 3-5 nodes before using.
The timer runs off of military time! “I have a video you can watch on how to easily set the timer.”

Don’t run autos and photos at the same time otherwise during your photoperiod vegative cycle, you will be feeding flower nutrients to your autoflowers! That’s my bad 😆

What is an indoor cannabis grow setup? Whether you have a room in your house perfect for growing cannabis indoors, or you have to buy a special grow tent, in this video, Kyle Kushman will show you how to correctly set up your indoor cannabis grow. Now that you have chosen your lights and picked the rest of the equipment you will be using, it is now time to put everything together and assemble your grow space.

If you have opted for a grow tent, then you will need to manually put this together. Generally, grow tents are fairly straightforward to set up, with larger grow tents being slightly more difficult due to the added size of them. When it comes to grow rooms, on the other hand, the space is already there, therefore all you need to do is add all of your equipment to create a conducive growing environment.

That being said, adding all of the necessary equipment to an indoor grow setup is by no means easy if you have a grow room, however, it doesn’t need to be difficult, as Kyle Kushman will prove in the video above. You need to take into consideration the amount of space you have available so that you can correctly position your lights, heating, fans, and plant containers to ensure that your chosen environment will function properly. Ensure that you have good methods of ventilation before setting up your indoor grow space.

Dr. Bruce Bugbee debunks myths and answers FAQs on grow lights for cannabis based on his research so far at Utah State University’s Crop Physiology Lab (see time-stamps below to navigate topics) and the next video in the series here: https://youtu.be/JwtkHxv_3pU . Bruce is a world-renowned crop physiology professor famous for his work in controlled environment agriculture for NASA and is president of Apogee Instruments, a developer of research-grade instruments used in precision agriculture. Bruce’s lab at Utah State is one of the few with a license to study cannabis cultivation with several active research projects underway (see: https://www.usu.edu/today/?id=58336 ). The lab’s license is to research hemp, but these principles apply to marijuana, including sativa and indica. Some of Bruce’s answers in this video are based on what the research is showing so far, but further tests are underway. On this episode of Growing Exposed we give you an insiders look at the world of cannabis cultivation.

We start off with a well-timed aerial tour of Humboldt. When we spoke to our friends at Royal Gold soils they suggested taking to the sky for a helicopter tour to see some epic gardens, so we took them up on their offer…and it did not disappoint! After enjoying the beautiful coastline views, we headed inland to the forests that are known for being “the heartland of outdoor cannabis cultivation.”

Growing Exposed hydroponics expert, Justin, and Michael from Royal Gold, take viewers with them as they absorb the beauty of the area while discussing the awesome people who work in the cannabis industry. From the air, we see the sheer size of our first garden; which has been using Green Planet nutrients, and has an incredible hedge that specifically showcases Liquid Weight and Massive Bloom Formulation. Each garden in today’s tour uses Royal Gold soil, which is proudly made in Humboldt.

At our first of three garden tours we meet Ronzo, an old school local grower who spoke to us about the age-old game of cat and mouse played over the years between growers and authorities. His plants are some of the most sought after in Humboldt, and include a variety that is 20% CBD to 1% THC and is extremely rare. This strain is being used by cancer and epilepsy patients and has countless medicinal benefits. We also took an up close look at lemon, a strain with an incredible Terpene profile that smells just amazing.

In teachings of the garden sage…David Robinson, author of The Growers Handbook, discusses the principle needs of growing cannabis whether you’re growing indoors or out. When growing outdoors you’re relying a lot on Mother Nature for sunlight, etc. and hopefully Mother Nature is consistent to produce the highest quality flower possible. David gives tips on how using Back Country Blend will supply plants with the nutrients they need. He also explains how important it is for growers to find the right strain for their specific environment when growing outdoors.

Our next garden, Quantum Genetics, is on a traditional piece of farmland and is in a full light deprivation green house, manufactured by Forever Flowering Greenhouses. This set up allows growers to maintain consistency all year round. We hear about how their light set up works and get a VIP look at their baby room, not to mention the forty feet trailer packed full of drying cannabis! Unique to this garden, is their family of ducks, who happily munch on leftover trim; making cannabis infused eggs!

Finally, we head back up to the hills for our final tour at Indra Valley Strategic Marketing Group. The plants at this garden grow to over 15 feet tall and have stalks up to three or four inches thick. These big, monster plants are the definition of the emerald triangle at its finest, and are why Humboldt is known for being one of the best possible places to grow outdoors. We see for ourselves, the famous Girl Scout Cookies and OG Kush. We also learn more about how the extraction process works and the garden’s automated light deprivation setup.

Carved into a mountainside… we took a journey up some steep terrain of cliffs and canyons to reach Scarlet Fire Farms to catch up with Brian, who is also known as Dragon with Matches. Brian is a veteran in the industry with two decades under his belt as he has been involved since the early days of growing guerrilla style in the woods. Following the Grateful Dead in New Jersey around the country and ending up in Humboldt County, Brian unknowingly never left this growers paradise.

For generations Northern California growers have flocked to this region to work on perfecting the outdoor grow. With their knowledge being passed down and added to over the years it is no surprise that they grow some of the most incredible cannabis in the entire world.

“It’s destiny, every day I walk through these things and say holy crap… I’ve taken it to this!!” explains Brian.

At Dragon With Matches they go big with their plant growing cannabis in a row crop. A row crop is a crop that can be planted in rows wide enough to be tilled. Here they grow massive outdoor cannabis plants that reach 10 feet tall, or as high as an NBA basket ball hoop. Brian adds that he makes sure that his plants have lots of space and structure. He supports these huge colas by using metal trellis netting that is so strong, Brian demonstrates how he can literally climb up them.

The Scarlet Fire Farms tour is led by our veteran tour guide Justin and as usual we get into what sets this farm apart. Brain explains he uses and practices a Korean farming technique that involves using an ancient fermentation process which has been used for centuries.

Fermenting cannabis leaves means they are able to re-use all their waste, ensuring it is put right back into the system forming a close loop system. Creating their own nutrients impacts the environment as little as possible.

Scarlett Fire is not only the name of the Farm but they also have a variety called Scarlett Fire that Brian bred himself. Durban Poison x Yeti OG. Brian explains “It is a very short Durban Poison” which is great for finishing late September or early October before the rain hits in Humboldt County.

We also visit Royal Gold Soils during the episode to take an intimate tour of their facility and learn why quality control is so vital to a consistent, high quality cannabis grower like Scarlett Fire Farms.

In this episode of Growing Exposed, our garden tour guide Justin Cooper takes us into a federally licensed facility, strictly for medical patients, and we hear an inspiring story from a medical patient himself. Justin has over 25 years experience in the hydroponics industry and knows his stuff when it comes to what makes a good grow operation.

This facility produces top-notch, 100% organic medicine and has extremely tight security measures in place: strict tabs are taken on who enters and exits grow rooms. In order to enter these rooms, visitors and staff are quarantined and must wear the proper gear to prevent contamination: booties, hairnets, room-specific lab coats and latex gloves. Fob-controlled steel doors also ensure only authorized personnel have access to grow rooms at any given time.
