This video provides an overview of medical marijuana, its compounds and legality. It sheds light on the usage of cannabis in chronic pain and the literature regarding it. Furthermore, it looks at an alternative treatment, opioids, and compares the pros and cons of each.

Fried Chicken Recipe:
6 Cups water
1/2 cup of pickle juice
1 cup salt
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tbl salt
2 tbl black pepper
2 tbl garlic powder
1 tbl paprika
3 3 tbl seasoned salt
2 tsp of keef of your choice
1 cup of milk
3 beaten eggs
pot of infused cooking oil

Directions:
Soak raw chicken in brine of water, salt & sugar overnight. Then drain and dry off chicken. Sprinkle chicken with salt, paprika, seasoned salt & ground black pepper. Toss chicken in beaten eggs then dredge in seasoned infused flour. Cook chicken in infused cooking oil at med heat for 8-10 minutes.

Cornbread Recipe
1 box of cornbread mix
1 egg
1/4 cup of milk
1/8 cup of granulated sugar
3 oz. of melted cannabis butter

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and back in an oiled pan at 400 degrees F. for 7 min then drizzle melted cannabis butter on top then continue to bake for another 5 min or until lightly brown on top.

Grits Recipe
4 cups of hard simmering water
2 1/2 cups of white or yellow grits
2 tbl salt
1 tbl pepper
3 oz. cannabis butter
1 oz. unsalted regular ass butter lol

Directions:
Stir in grits and continuously stir until they reach a light boil. add in salt and both butters. Lower heat to low and cover for about 5 min. Remove from heat, stir and serve.

4 Ways to Use Cannabis Butter

For the chocolate-covered strawberries
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons cannabutter

1 cup dark chocolate chips

Fresh strawberries

Flaky sea salt, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Using a double boiler or microwave, melt cannabutter and chocolate chips until smooth.

Dip strawberries into chocolate and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt. Allow chocolate to harden at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

For the peanut cannabutter cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 cup smooth peanut butter, room temperature

2 tablespoons cannabutter, room temperature

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, add peanut butter, cannabutter, both sugars, the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is combined and smooth.

Next, add flour and baking soda. Mix again until you no longer see flour streaks. On a lightly greased parchment-lined baking sheet, scoop about 2 tablespoons of batter for each cookie. Use a fork to flatten cookie in both directions to create the classic peanut butter cookie divots.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly and enjoy!

For the “baked” pot-ato
INGREDIENTS
1 russet potato, cleaned

1 tablespoon cannabutter

2 tablespoons sour cream, plus more for garnish

1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Salt and pepper, to taste

Crispy bacon, for garnish

Chives, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place potato on a cookie sheet or directly on the wire rack and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Allow potato to cool slightly before handling.

Score potato with a knife in an X shape. Scoop potato flesh into a bowl. Add cannabutter, sour cream, half the cheddar cheese, salt and pepper. Mix until filling is smooth. Place back into potato skin and top with remaining cheddar cheese.

Place in oven and bake until cheese is bubbly and melty, about 10 minutes. Top with sour cream, chives and bacon bits. Enjoy!

For the Maca-stoni and Cheese
INGREDIENTS
1/2 pound cooked macaroni noodles

4 tablespoons cannabutter

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 cups whole milk, warmed

4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated

4 ounces smoked Gouda cheese, grated

4 ounces Gruyere cheese, grated

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Funyuns chips, for garnish

Chives, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
In a large saucepan, add cannabutter and flour. Cook for a few minutes over medium-low heat.

Next, slowly whisk in warmed milk. Cook until milk is almost at a boil, about 5 minutes. Add all the cheeses, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until warm, bubbly and cheeses have all melted and formed a sauce. Stir in cooked macaroni.

Ladle gooey pasta into a bowl and top with crunchy Funyun bits and chives. Enjoy!

Cannabutter and How To Cook With It
INGREDIENTS
For the butter:

1/2 ounce cannabis buds

2 sticks unsalted butter

2 to 3 cups water

INSTRUCTIONS
Make the cannabutter: Preheat oven to 240 degrees. Place cannabis buds on a sheet tray, and bake at 240 degrees for 40 minutes. (This is called decarboxylation which will help activate the THC. Do not skip this step.)

Once baked, the buds will become crumbly. Break them into smaller crumbles and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, heat butter and water until they reach a low simmer. Add marijuana crumbles and set heat to a very low simmer. Do not boil. Make sure crumbles are not touching the bottom of the pan; if so, add a bit more water until they float. Cook uncovered for 3 hours, adding more water if necessary.

Place a fine mesh colander covered with cheesecloth over a large bowl. Pour cannabutter liquid over cheesecloth colander. Use a spatula to push any excess liquid through. Discard drained buds. Cover bowl in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight. The butter will harden on top of the water. Use a knife to help remove the butter disc from the bowl and discard the water. Your cannabutter is now ready to use!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

* Weed
*Butter Salted (works way better)2
*cheese Cloth
*Pot
*Baking sheet and Parchment Paper
*Spatula thing
*Oven

(these are intrusions from the internet if you want to follow these)

Step 1: Decarboxylation [used to activate THCA into it’s psychoactive version, THC].
Step 1a. Preheat oven to 230 degrees F. Use an oven thermometer to gauge temperature.
Step 1b. Remove any stems and seeds from your bud.
Step 1c. Weigh bud after removing stems.
Step 1d. Spread bud evenly over baking try.
Step 1e. Decarb for 30-40 minutes, or until your bud is brown/dark green.
CAUTION!! A lot of people screw this step up – be sure to check every 5 minutes (or even less) to ensure your bud does not burn.
Step 1f. Remove baking try and let cool for 20 minutes.
Optional step: Weigh bud after decarboxylation is complete.

Step 2: Fat Extraction [used to transfer THC from our cannabis to the butter]
Step 2a. Finely grind your decarbed bud.
Step 2b. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add 2 sticks of butter.
Step 2c. Once butter is melted and simmering, add your finely ground bud.
Step 2d. Simmer on low for 3 hours, stirring every 10-15 minutes.
CAUTION!! Add water as needed to ensure the butter is floating 1-2 inches from the bottom of the saucepan at all times (prevents burning).
Step 2e. Remove from heat and let cool for 30-40 minutes.(I don’t use water in the video I feel it makes the butter come out stronger without it )

Step 3: Strain and Cool [used to remove plant material and solidify + separate our butter]
Step 3a. Prepare strainer using cheesecloth and elastic bands.
Step 3b. Carefully pour contents into the strainer. Squeeze out any and all butter!
Step 3c. Cover your canna butter and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours.
Step 3d. Submerge in a warm water bath to slightly melt the edges of the canna butter.
Step 3e. Carefully invert bowl to release water.
Store in a container in the refrigerator until use.

Welp, it’s Halloween week and as much as I wanted to make some candy for you guys, it’s just not quite in my skill set…yet. Instead, I bring you my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. It’s adapted from the great Chef John’s perfect chocolate chip cookies recipe. The main differences are that I split the amount of chocolate chips and add in some caramel chips, and of course the addition of weed.

Thousands of veterans interested in marijuana for pain management face fear and uncertainty trying to access the substance for medical reasons even as a growing number of Americans face expanding access.

Already, 33 states and the District of Columbia have legalized medical marijuana, and 11 states and DC have gone one step further legalizing recreational cannabis.

Medical marijuana has been legal in the tri-state area for years, but because it remains illegal at the federal level and because the Department of Veterans Affairs follows federal policy, the VA considers all forms of marijuana an illegal drug, meaning veterans can’t get help accessing medical marijuana from their VA doctors.

During a recent Congressional hearing exploring bills that would allow for expanded access to medical marijuana for veterans, representatives for the VA indicated they would continue to oppose such policies as long as marijuana remains illegal at the federal level.

Eyewitness News began looking at the issue after hearing from multiple veterans that they were uncertain whether they would be penalized or denied treatment and ongoing prescriptions provided by the VA if they tried medical marijuana.

Where can I buy marijuana seeds?

Boy oh boy do we get this question a lot…but it’s totally understandable!

You can be stealthy about everything you do whilst growing, but many people feel like the act of getting seeds is the least secure part of their grow.

It doesn’t have to be!

Many growers choose to start their first grow with seeds they find in their buds, otherwise known as “bagseed”.

This can be a convenient way to test out your growing skills with little investment, but sometimes you get unexpected results as you often don’t know very much, if anything, about the strain or how the plant is going to grow.

The web is awash with growers claiming to have grown bagseed that was out of this world, but also and more commonly so bagseed that produced tall, spindly plants with low yields and weak buds. It’s all part of the bagseed lottery.

If you happen to know another grower or live near a medical marijuana dispensary, it’s sometimes possible to get seeds or clones from them. Several dispensaries and collectives will offer free or cheap clones or seeds to medical marijuana patients. If this option is available to you, you can choose your strain and talk to the breeder about how the plant grows. That way you’ll have a better idea of what to expect.

But what about ordering seeds online? Is it safe?

Several trusted companies have been delivering seeds to customers for many years, and many more will start to do the same as marijuana becomes more and more mainstream.

If you need to find a specific strain for your needs, or desire a strain that grows a certain way (for example if you have a small grow space and need a strain that grows short and bushy), you will probably want to look into ordering seeds directly from a breeder or online seed bank.

Most growers these days start with feminized seeds from a trusted seedbank, and we predict this will continue for the foreseeable future even though the option to produce one’s own seeds remains ever present.

So, in answer to the question, Use bagseed (seeds that you find in your buds), get seeds or clones from a fellow grower, or order seeds online from a secure online seedbank.
