I think I messed up… but now I know how to make the perfect cannabis edibles at home. First, you’ll need to decarb your cannabis. Simply bake it at 240°F for 40 minutes to activate the THC. Next, infuse it with some butter or oil. Combine your decarbed cannabis with butter or oil and simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours. Strain the mixture to remove plant material, and voilà! You now have cannabis-infused butter or oil ready to use in your favorite recipes. Remember, always start with a small amount to see how it affects you. Happy baking, and stay safe! I made 2 versions of cannabis chocolate from scratch. One with infused dairy butter and the other with infused cocoa butter. In this video, you will find the whole process and a side by side comparison.

To make infused butters
You can use the same cannabutter recipe to make both, just swap out the dairy butter for cocoa butter when infusing cocoa butter.

To make cannabis chocolates
The cannabis chocolate recipe calls for cannabutter as an ingredient. Replace it with infused cocoa butter if you would like to make the cocoa butter version.

When making cocoa butter chocolate, you will need to temper the chocolate with additional steps as shown in the video. Here are the temperatures the mixture needs to reach:
– heat to 45-50°C (113-122°F)
– cool to 27°C (80.6°F)
– heat slightly to 31-32°C (87.8-89.6°F)
