While Austria is considered a progressive country by most standards, the same cannot be said for its stance on medical marijuana. Despite the fact that possession of marijuana is basically not a crime in Austria, medical marijuana is still extremely restricted in terms of who can get access to it and what forms it can be prescribed.

In order to change things, several Austrians are risking their freedom and their finances to change the government’s stance on prescription pot. In this episode of MERRY JANE’S Original Series, Wide World of Cannabis, we meet a man who founded a medical cannabis club in Salzburg, a few of his patients, plus several other important figures who are working to change the laws in Austria.

How to roll a Joint? There are many ways.
Here is a basic Joint.

The Mix

The Marijuana mix is perhaps the most important part of the joint.
Make sure the consistency is even. Remove any lumps or woody bits.
If you are rolling a pure-weed joint, make sure your material is absolutely dry.

Shape

The shape of the joint is determined by how you distribute the mix over the papers. Use long papers.
Most Joints are cone-shaped. Cones tend to smoke more smoothly than straight joints but are slightly harder to roll.

The Roach or ‘Filter’

Joints usually don’t have a filter like a filter cigarette does. A Joint filter is more like a mouth piece.
Joint Filters are made of cardboard. Cut an apprx. 2.2 x 0.7 Inch (5.5 x 1.7 cm) piece of thin cardboard and roll it up tightly.
Insert it at the left of your mix.

Roll it

This can be the tricky part. Pick everything up and start rolling gentle in the middle, rolling outward.
Let your thumbs do most of the work and give support and pressure with your forefingers.
You should start to feel the mix firming inside the paper.

Seal it

When you have an even consistency, tuck down the facing paper edge with the tips of your thumbs, wrap the excess paper around the joint, wet the glue and seal that baby.

Smoke it

The best joints are firm but not so tight you have to bust a lung drawing smoke.

Loose joints taste rough, burn too fast and have a nasty habit of setting fire to clothing and furniture.

David Sherer, MD, is an American physician, inventor, and author. He currently practices anesthesiology in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and is a tireless advocate for hospitalized patients. In this video, Dr. David Sherer, anesthesiologist and author of Bottom Line’s What Your Doctor Isn’t Telling You blog, talks about how medical marijuana can be used for pain relief and management. Recent research has shown that medical-grade marijuana is nearly as effective at relieving pain as anti-inflammatories and opioids. Further, it is particularly effective at relieving pain caused by cancer, neuropathy, surgery and more. The laws regarding access to medical marijuana differ from state to state, but typically a doctor will prescribe medical marijuana to a patient with a qualifying condition and then the patient will fill the prescription at a licensed dispensary. While the rules and regulations regarding medical marijuana continue to evolve, Dr. Sherer is encouraged by the emerging research and the fact that the side effect profile for medical marijuana is less severe than for comparable drugs.

Baking soda is used in cooking, in cosmetics and for the maintenance of the house. But what can it do for your garden? You might be surprised to find that it works wonders there too. Here is what baking soda can do to your garden.

1. Sweeter Tomatoes. Simply sprinkle it lightly onto the soil they’re in and the baking soda will be absorbed into it, lowering the acidity level of the soil and the tomatoes for a sweeter, rather than a tart flavor.

2. Give Plants a Boost. Mix together 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon clear ammonia and 1 teaspoon Epsom salt in a gallon of water. Mix well and give each plant about a quart of the solution.

3. Extend Life of Cut Flowers. Just dip the flowers into a mixture of baking soda and water.

4. Use it as a Pesticide. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/3 cup of olive or mustard oil. Measure out 2 teaspoons of this mix and add it to 1 cup of water. Mix it well together and spray it on the infected plants.

5. Smelly compost. Use a small amount of baking soda which will eliminate the odor and prevent acidity build up.

6. Weed Killer. To fight effectively against the weeds, baking soda is best. You can sprinkle it on the tufts of weeds.

7. Test Soil pH. Take some soil on a dish and make it muddier. Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda onto the soil. If the combination bubbles, your soil is acidic.

This video is just for local dealers, big scale dealers have other means of making profits from weed dealing.
Also, because local dealers usually do not have access to fresh, high quality bud, all calculations are “made” with average to low quality weed in mind, for which here in the UK we pay 10 pounds per gram. Some dealers sell better stuff for which one can be asked to pay 20 pounds if not more per gram based on rarity, quality and other criteria. Because of this the video is not universal, sorry!!
