Medical marijuana sales in Ohio down

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) – According to the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy, medical marijuana sales in Ohio in the past two weeks have dropped.

More medical marijuana dispensaries in Ohio are opening in 2019, but it’s happening slowly. The number of patients signed up for their medical marijuana card in the first three months was around 20,000. Less than 30 percent of that number made a purchase, according to the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.

“If you look at the number of patients that have registered and the amount of people who’ve made their first sale, the discrepancy is because there are not enough dispensaries online right now. As more open up in the state, I think you will see that number going up,” said Jason Erkes.

Erkes is a spokesperson from Cresco Labs. The company has 14 open dispensaries across the United States. One of them is in Wintersville. He says their shop hasn’t seen a decrease in sales and are serving new customers daily.

“Any regulated program is going to cost more, but the cost of medical cannabis in Ohio is not that different from states like Pennsylvania. It’s right in line for what regular pricing is,” said Erkes.

The average price of Ohio for an ounce of cannabis is $470. That’s double the price in Michigan where Ohio patients can use their cards. Many in Cincinnati are questioning why the dispensaries are taking so long to open. They’re also wondering why one hasn’t opened in our area.

“I don’t think its Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland. It depends on the people — how long it takes them to build their facilities and get them done right. At the end of the day, you want to get it done right. Cincinnati will be there soon. And the rest of the state as well,” said Erkes.

Inside Thailand’s First Legalised Cannabis Plantation

Thailand has become the first country in Southeast Asia to legalise the use of cannabis as a drug. Marijuana is said to be able to treat various diseases including Parkinson’s, asthma, insomnia, autism and even cancer. But there are also studies that have shown the negative effects cannabis, such as brain damage and addiction.

While hemp plants are now grown at the Royal Agriculture Pangda in Samoeng, weed remains illegal and banned in Thailand. “We will make the public understand that it’s for medical purposes only, not for recreation,” said Niyom Termsrisuk, the Secretary-General of Office of Narcotics Control Board (ONCB). The Thai military conducts search and destroy mission in the hills of Chiang Rai to rid of illegal drug plantations.

Countries like Philippines and Malaysia are considering legalising medical marijuana, possibly indicating a turning point on the region’s long-standing tough war on drugs. Carrying and transporting of drugs however, still result in death penalty in countries like Singapore.

Marijuana Grow Challenge Day 58 HYDROSOIL

I skipped a few weeks of videos so we could jump right into the last 2 weeks of this amazing marijuana grow challenge.

The colas are insanely huge and the plants produced more than expected which is why I decided early on to scrap the smaller room and 1000w set up in favor of my bigger room and 2000 w instead.

I ended up with 8 plants under 2000w in 10 gallon smart pots. I used my HYDROSOIL mix of 1 part coco 1 part growstone and 1 part ocean forest. They were fed House and Garden nutrients through bloom cycle and CYCO nutrients in veg.

Thanks for following along with this project. Remember to subscribe to my channel and check back regularly for more great videos.

2017 Marijuana Grow Room + Tent Plants Update! Harvest Time!

Figured I would get a quick update out since I have been busy editing all the old footage and trying to get everything uploaded. We have moved four of our Island to our plans into the flower room with a light schedule of 1212 because we realized our other clones were taking off and are ready for 5-gallon pots and did not have room in our tent. Our Island to our original plant and flower is 63 days in and about ready to be harvested stay tuned for that as we will have a harvest video and final weight. Let me know in the comments if you actually read the description voice text out.
