Hard Cannabis Butter Caramel Candy Recipe with Cream (50 g of butter)

Ingredients:

– 50 g cannabis butter (7.5g Cookies Gelato/100g Ghee) [Medium/Strong effect]
– 100 g granulated sugar
– 50 g glucose syrup or honey syrup
– 30 ml (3 cl) water
– 5 cl heavy cream
– 1 pinch of salt
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Baking Sheet:

– Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or prepare silicone candy molds.

Cooking the Caramel:

– In a saucepan, combine the sugar, glucose syrup or honey, water, and salt.
– Heat over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar is dissolved.
– Continue cooking until the mixture reaches approximately 150°C (hard crack stage) and turns a golden brown color.
– Continue stirring to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
– Add the heavy cream (5 cl) and continue heating the mixture until it reaches a boil. Stir constantly to prevent the cream from burning.

Incorporating the Cannabis Butter:

– Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the 50 g of cannabis butter. Stir well until the butter is fully incorporated.
– Add the vanilla extract if desired, for additional flavor.

Pouring and Molding:

– Quickly pour the hot caramel into the silicone molds or onto the prepared baking sheet. If using a baking sheet, spread the caramel evenly before it hardens.

Cooling:

– Allow the caramel to cool completely at room temperature. If using a baking sheet, break the caramel into pieces once it has hardened.

Wrapping:

– Wrap each candy in parchment paper to prevent them from sticking together.

Storage:

– Store the candies in an airtight container away from moisture. They can be kept for several weeks.

Precautions:

– Consume with moderation and wait for the effects before consuming more, as cannabis-infused candies can have delayed effects.
