Marijuana is a gateway drug that is responsible for the opioid epidemic in the U.S., according to Attorney General Jeff Sessions who said he has no sympathy for sufferers of chronic pain who use medical marijuana to relieve their symptoms.
During an address at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Tampa, Florida, Sessions said chronic pain sufferers should simply “take an aspirin and tough it out” rather than make use of the natural palliative powers of medical marijuana.
